Valley Bottom Rio Trio
Now Featuring the Outdoor Family Festival

Alamosa Parks and Recreation is hosting the 5th annual “Valley Bottom Rio Trio”; an adventure-style triathlon race within the City of Alamosa! This fully chip-timed race will feature a 5k+ Run, a 2.75-mile paddle on the Rio Grande, and an 8-mile trail/gravel/road bike ride. Participants will be given the option of doing all three legs of the race solo or as a part of a 3-person relay team. Bring your own boat or rent a kayak or Standup Paddle Board (limited amounts available) from us! An outdoor awards ceremony, lunch, and local beer libations will take place following the race. A children's adventure triathlon (ages 6-11) will take place after the main event! Don’t delay in registering, we expect to sell out!
