Valley Bottom Rio Trio

Alamosa Parks and Recreation is hosting the 6th annual “Valley Bottom Rio Trio”; an adventure-style triathlon race within the City of Alamosa! This fully chip-timed race will feature a 5k+ Run, a 2.75-mile paddle on the Rio Grande, and an 8-mile trail/gravel/road bike ride. Participants will be given the option of doing all three legs of the race solo or as a part of a 3-person relay team. Bring your own boat or rent a kayak or Standup Paddle Board (limited amounts available) from us! An outdoor awards ceremony and lunch will be served by local food vendors following the race. This year's event will also be a part of the city's Riofest, which includes live music, craft vendors, food, beer, and an outdoor expo, (June 6th -7th).
